We hadn't eaten at The Mill for awhile and had forgotten what a great restaurant it is. Everything we ordered was very delicious....lots of interesting tastes. We will be back to sample more of their menu.
Our first visit to Thornbury for dinner, no reservations made, Saturday night 6:30. We were actually looking for something quieter that night, but we made a mental adjustment & stayed: definately not disappointed. Mostly open bistro style, an urban vibe to the place, nice varied menu. Place gets pretty lively, not noisy but enjoyable, civilised crowd, no kids. Seems to be a go-to place for local artists to display work, very nice addition.
Our server was new & not confident, but got help at one point. Food arrival time to table was a tad slow, nothing major.
Main dishes were the best fish we both had had in a while, excellent preparation & presented well, hot and very tasty. Will go back in the spring & bring friends.
